I'd like to know about the exhaust too. I'm wondering what the extreme decrease in back pressure did for the actual performance numbers.

It seems to add quite a bit. But that may just be me.

I wonder how you figure the actual % for your specific car? You'd almost have to know the hp at the wheels and at the crank...as seperate measures.

Using the 110 figure above it would be about 15% roughly.

Guys, look at the CTA dynos by Chris Wong linked on this forum. ZX2 and ZX3 Zetec dynos. Stock about 103 FWHP, with KKM 106 FWHP, with CTA intake + ignition 109 FWHP or so I think. Torque 112 - 118 or so, pretty decent.


1999 Amazon Green SVT Contour (#554/2760)
Stock SVT Duratec V6 with:
Intake- K&N filter/75mm MAF meter
Exhaust- MSDS Y-pipe/Bassani catback
Durability-Ford "dual mode" damper, Mobil 1/K&N oil filter
179.2 FWHP at 6900 RPM
