I was just on MSN CarPoint and at 30,000 I'm supposed to have approx $500 worth of maintenance (as any Contique would be, I'd guess) and the most expensive single item, as well as the one that I have the least clue on how to do, is greasing my wheel bearings. It seems this can't be that bad, but I am not sure. Anyone ever done it? Can I do it myself. For ~110 bucks I'd rather pocket that money and get my hand dirty.

Thanks,
Chris

The wheel or hub bearings can not be greased. They are sealed and pressed into the steering knuckle. Hey, but be happy (not!) you will probably have to replace them in about another 20 to 30k anyway! Hub bearing seam to fail alot on our cars, especially if you have the V6.

I have about 87,000km on my SE V6 and only had to replace one whell bearing because a big a$$ pothole. Other than that when recently checked are working very well. Shouldn't be a concern unless you drive hard and corner the car heavily.

I'm not sure if you saw my replay post to some post you had sometime (awful specific), so I'll reiterate: I'm originally from Buffalo, and I go back there to visit folks and highschool friends (who are currently going to UB) is there anything exciting going on in Buffalo anytime this summer, AutoX etc? I don't know how active you are, but hey, we could swap contour stories and maybe burn some Hondas.
