I know it has been discussed before but somehow I missed it and can't find it in the archives. In the best free mods thread 98redsvt showed off his SVT badge on the trunk lid. How was this done. Please post directions or email to hdrebes@earthlink.net Thanks.

My recollection was you have to remove the rear panel and use a heat gun or hair dryer to lift it off. (oval and entire chrome strip)
Haven't heard anyone say it was easy. I've thought about it, but don't like that chance for damage.

Someone did do an excellent write up on this mod... If you can't find it, hopefully they will reply...

Heres what I did to my SVT. I bought some wide black vinyl tape and put it over both the front/rear Ford logos. This particular tape I was able to cut by using my thumbnail! Its a satin black finish that looks great and hasn't shrunk or come off. After that I bought the little SVT emblems from Bill Jenkins, its the SVT emblems for the 94-95 Cobras/Lightnings. These are much thinner than our SVT emblem on the trunk and I think look alot better! Hope this helps you out.

I have SVT badges in both the front grill and rear facia applique. The front was no problem taking the Ford badge off. I just pryed it off with a flathead screwdriver and it popped right off. With the rear one, I got a small flathead screwdriver and was able to wedge it between the badge and applique. Then I got a larger one and worked it around the rest of the badge to where I could just pop it off, It took me about 10-15 minutes to do the rear. After I removed it, I took the Ford badge and cut a piece of .20 plastic (acetate) to the shape of the badge. Painted it black and double backed taped in the area. Then I put the SVT badge right over the black so it was chrome on black, instead of chrome on chrome. I hope this helps...
