i would recommend this combo to everyone! the sound is amazing! sounds very racy! very throaty! hp gains are also there before and after 3500 rpms...the rpms seem to fly up very quickly and very smooth! love the way it feels and sounds! oh yeah the install went ok, not the easyest but not very hard either! if u do not have this get it!

Is the miks heat shield really worth the $65 price tag? It seems like something anyone can make out of a sheet of metal. Any comments about the construction of it?

sorry for the delay guys. to answer your questions.. it is the bat inlet pipe i will try to get pics on here this week, actually look for the pics tuesday..i will have them on this forum! yes the miks heat sheild is defently worth it! very solid construction well thought out! i would recommmend it to everyone..it eliminates heat soak all together!! sheet metal would proboly not work it would get too hot! the whole point of the sheild is too stop the warm air! once again its an excellent set up the car is 100% louder, highway pick up is tremendous..it seemed to stiffen up the petal, and is now very responsive! A must have mod. worth every penny!

I made my own heat sheild for about $10 total on the weekend. It is painted and has foam edging too for a better seal with the hood. $65 is WAY to much. I just have to take pics of it. I alos routed 3" Aluminum ducting from under the bumper up and into the stock cold air position. $65 is WAY to much. Pics to come.

ya i agree that $65 is too much. the parts dont cost that much and i dont imagine labor taking that long to fabricate this.. so unless it comes down in price, i can live without it.

Then make your own....

I can probably guarantee that your $10.00 shield isn't made from the same materials I make mine out of. I think it's great that you made your own, that's the point of doing mods.

I make them for those that don't want to or have the time to do it.

The parts I use are the same materials used in engine bays.

FWIW.

Just a quick question....with the optional flex hose that BAT offers, can you still do the TH fix?

Just did mine, love the results, and was thinking of getting the BAT piece.

Thanks
