Hi, I am planning on running time trials at Lime Rock soon and would like to know what pressures F/R would be suggested. I have run other cars in the past at 42F/40R. Am I in the ball park? I know all of you Autocross but I am sure some of you have race track experience. I have the stock KWD's.
Thanks in advance, Rick
Is there anyone out there that will be at Lime Rock at anytime this season?

Try calling Tire Rack. They usually pretty sharp on this stuff. I'd probably start about where you mentioned. But really have no clue. I run more than that for autox but I'd be uncomfotable with it's autox characteristics (caused by the high pressures) on a high speed track. Just my $.02. You can give me change if you'd like. Definetly let us know how it went. I'd love to do a track event too.

Rick,I live in mass and would like to check out lime rock myself. What is this event all about?what are the rules for the car?how much to run?I run auto-cross events and i have had my tires up to 45psi.I chalk the side wall to check the roll over and raise the pressure until i get it somewhat under control.Alot depends on the tire.I just put new ones on so i have to start over myself.
But the chalk idea works great.

Lime Rock has many events on their calander. Check out the site at www.limerockpark.com click club events schedule. The one event that I am going to is the Corvair Club Sat 7/7.www.corvair.org/chapters/necc/ Get about 1 and 1/2 hrs track time 3 timed runs. Need snell 90 helmet, costs $139 for pre entry. Almost all the clubs have web sites. Must search for them. Enter early, spots go quickly. Hope to see you there. Rick

I'm beginning to think that the surface of the track has more to do with it than what tire pressure to run. Chalking your tires for the particular track is probably your best idea, and adjust from there.
