WOW! I got my rear brake rotors from Precision Brakes Company today. They are the DBA (Disc Brake Australia) slotted rotors. The rotors are plated and really look to be the very best quality. Also, the are made and labeled for the right side and left side. The price on these rotors is excellent. I paid $75.00 each plus shipping. Anyone looking for rotors should look into these. They are also available dilled and slotted. I would recommend the slotted for most applications.

LOL...I just got my DBA front rotors today too. Got the slotted, they look awesome and so far seems to brake good. My previous rotors were warped so these brakes feel extra 'smooth'. I'll give em a few more days before I head to the mountains though. The SVT sized fronts were only 100 each for me plus 10 for shipping IIRC. All in all I'm happy with the purchase so far. www.precisionbrakescompany.com is the web address, lots of info there. I talked to two different people there and they were both VERY helpful and knowledgeable. Nigel is the guy I ordered them from about a month ago(back ordered)and I just talked to someone else(Brian, Josh?)last week about the tracking number. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs rotors, overall I'm happy. See. Does this work? What about this one? And this one?

Any opinions on these yet?
I need to buy some new rotors and I was wondering is these DBA rotors were worth the money.
Thanks

I think they are worth the money, so far so good. I'm about ready for new pads also so my car isn't braking as well as it could. Two thumbs up from me.

I was wondering about that the other day when I talked to them but forgot to ask. Maybe its just for them to keep track of which models they are selling for?? Dunno.

-Andy I think the reason is that the DBA slotted rotors are different for the right and left side. The slot is cut to point to the rear on each side thus the difference in part nyumbers. A single rotor is either for the right side or the left side.

Slotted and/or drilled do little to nothing for a street car with any semblance of a modern pad compound. Slotting and drilling of rotors is purely for appearance (despite what some of the places selling drilled/slotted rotors will tell you) and will actually significantly decrease the life, and significantly increase the chance of catastrophic failure of the rotor under heavy usage conditions.
So, buy them if you want them so you can look cool, but don't buy them for the supposed "performance" benefits.
It's all about balance.

Get either, but be prepared to go through pads/rotors quicker. Pads, due to the more aggressive "bite" that slotted/drilled rotors have on the pad, and rotors given that warpage among the slotted/drilled type seems to be far more prevalent than among high-quality blanks.
Many folks have talked about wet-weather breaking being much better with slotted/drilled rotors and I've either heard or read this from a reputable source somewhere in the past, I just can't recollect the who's or where's of the information.
Th reason Brembo cross-drilled rotors you see on Porsche's don't warp anywhere near as much as CNC'd rotors is that they are fabricated as such from the factory, not drilled/slotted after the treating/cooling process.
If it were me and I had to have one of the two, I'd go slotted over cross-drilled. There's less disruption of the overall rotor.
FWIW.

I'm not worried about looks as much as i am about the rotors warping. I thought maybe the drilled/slotted might be less prone. If not i am getting oem blanks. Is there any difference?

im on xdrilled rotors for a month or a little more now definite improvement over the worn out front stock rotors i replaced but i dont know if i can say for sure that they are better than good full-face rotors...
they are a little noisy when cold but goes away once warmed up and stop pretty good
when i replace the rear rotors i am most likely just gonna go with better than stock quality full face and good pads
the slotted rotors look awful good though even with my stock 5 spoke se wheels
