Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads, are they any good? These are the ones they advertise as used on NASCAR. I had a set a while ago on my 95 Windstar, and they sure stopped a lot better than the stock Ford pads, but you could always feel and hear them grinding against the rotors, and they wore rather quickly. I tried turning the rotors and replacing them with new, but still the grinding. Did I just get a bad set?

They don't make them for the rear discs on my 95 (or so Autozone says)... frown

Sounds like you just got a bad set.

They should not grind.
Their wear is a little better than average as is the dusting from them.
Braking power & fade resistance are excellent.

Excellent pads. I've got them and they are much better than stock.
