Just wondering how many other contour/mystique owners in MN are here. I seem to see contours all over the place and an occasional svt. It looked like there was a MN branch on the CEG links, I was unable to access it. Does anyone know if there is a MN branch?

CYS, I'm in Eagan. There are a few MN. members but I don't know how to get ahold of them for a cruise. I posted a couple of times but no one responded. The forum has a link to the MN. branch. Look 'em up and see what you think.

I know of at least four SVT's in the Twin Cities area. ( including myself ) One thing everyone should know about is Apple Valley Ford is hosting a SVT driving clinic on September 16. Check out: http://www.svt.ford.com/track.asp for more info....

Looks like im stuck with you Venturians for a while. Im from Sioux Falls, and I doubt we have enough contour enthusiasts here to justify our own forumn. My best friend here has a 96 Gl, and I did see my car's twin out the other day. It's sorta funny when you pass a car thats exactly identical to yours...right down to the moonroof, interior, wheels, etc. We just sat there and stared at each other for about 2 mins at a redlight and then started passing each other back and forth for the next couple of miles. My car looks even sweeter when Im watching it pass me!
All comments above are hereby void and may be just plain useless, but my 2000 SE Sport rocks.

Hello,
I'm in Minneapolis. I'm driving a 99 toreador red SVT. I've seen a black SVT several times on Cedar Ave. as I'm coming home from work, and several other SVT's throughout the area. If anyone wants to get together sometime let me know.

That's o.k. CYS, I'm one of the unfortunate ones who only drives an S.E. But I am VERY happy with it. Hope to have 17" wheels and sticky rubber soon as well as HR springs. If ya' see a spruce green SE with dual exhaust and dual tips it's me. I've got the only one like it around. give me a honk!

I've been unable to acces the MN branch as well...... I'm doubting it's existance. Anyways, I'm in Bloomington, driving a 98 GL. Also, I do car stereo install at a local circuit city.... if anyone has stereo questions.... I'd like to put together some gatherings, if anyone is interested, email me at rough1@hotmail.com.

rough1; Question regarding subs - what is the best way to get the benefit of a subwoofer(s) w/out losing a lot of trunk space? Any way to build in subs at a moderate price? I'm not looking for show car sound or to be heard a block away...

We just moved from Burnsville Mn. to Indianapolis,In.
My wife drives a black 98.5 SVT. It may have been the one on Cedar!
I saw a few around the southern suburbs. The closest one was in our complex in Burnsville. Silver 99 or 2000.
We bought our car at Apple Valley Ford. I may try to come up for the SVT get together in Sept. We went last year and it was a fun time.

Ryan, my car is yet ( and will continue to be ) a sticker virgin. I just put a set of side marker lights in today, and the sail panels are blacked out. Other than that ( and my stereo ) the car is completely stock.
CYS, the subwoofer you choose will drive the sized box you need- even within subwoffer sizes the air volume requirements vary widely. I'm almost regretting installing a system, though. I spent the cash on the system before I found this website- I think if I would have seen this site first, I'd be the proud owner of a borla exhaust and a new Y-pipe instead!

I live in eastern Plymouth and commute to Chanhassen... I've seen a couple of black SVT's and a silver one in the west area.

I'm all about going again, it was a free day of auto-x. They had 2 handling courses and a wet skidpad to test out our ABS. They held it at Dakota County Tech in Apple Valley.
Did anyone else here go ?

Can you just show up to the SVT day? I've e-mailed Apple Valley ford to ask them about registering, but that was a month ago and I haven't heard anything back. I suppose I could call them....

Here's another MN SVT. 1998 Toreador with a CEG sticker on the right rear, and a Hamline University sticker on the left rear (needed to balance them out).
Anybody looking to have a get together... definitely e-mail me svtcarboy@yahoo.com.
