Duplicator Shield is advertised as a temporary protector/bug shield/mud flaps/etc. I want to use it on my Mirko cause I'm getting tired of dabbing paint and clear nail polish on the chips. Tropic green on a white Mirko shows chips very easily. The can says to wash the Shield off after 3 days. I emailed them to find out why. The only reason they gave was to prevent fading on the unshielded portions. Since that's not a concern for me, they said there should be no problems. Here's the emails:

Thanks for your quick response Ray, but my question still isn't directly
answered. Since I'm not worried about fading, am I safe in assuming I can
use the clear spray and leave it on longer than 3 days without any paint
damage? Simply put, spraying Dupli-Color Shield on the front of my car will
not harm the paint in any way? Again, fading paint is not the issue. I
want to protect the front of my car as best as I can without using a bra.
Thanks again.

Tom,

The Shield will not harm the paint in any way. The main concern is the
fading like I stated. If you are not concerned about possible fading, the
product will work just fine for this application.

Have a great day.

Sincerely,
Ray
