I just replaced my coil pack for the second time in 6 months. The original coil lasted 11 years. The AutoZone one - from Wells - has one bad coil already. Sadly AutoZone doesn't warranty them so I got a BW one from O'Reilly and the engine is now running perfectly. I had a ignition trigger - another Wells brand - go bad 2 weeks ago. The engine would cut out at times and the transmission would shift at strange times. I was getting Memory code 211, Profile errors.
No more Wells parts for me...

I installed a Niehoff coil pack. It has a three year warranty. Perhaps Accel makes a better unit? The Ford coil is good but huge $$$$$!

I bought a MPI brand coil from O'Reily. When I picked it up they gave me a BW for the off brand price. Either way the parts they sell have a warranty whereas AZ doesn't.
The hesitation is gone and the miss in high gear is missing! Just a little more voltage pressure was needed to jump the gap!
