I am trying to change out my heatercore. I have everything disconnected except the vacumline and the retainer that holds the core. My problem is I can't get to the retainer because I have this insulation and a aluminum plate around the area I need to get to. I've dropped the plate down but still no luck still too tight to get the insulation pulled back. I'm thinking maybe I'm going to need to drop the exhaust in order to get the plate out of the way to get to this insulation. I also believe the connection for the vacum line is behind the insulation. Iā??ve searched for information and I'm also using the chilton manual Iā??ve never read where anyone had to remove aluminum plates and insulation. Well I've had enough for today Iā??m going to call it quits. Any assistance would be appreciated
