interesting stingray info
according to that site, only one person has survived a barb-piercing to the heart.
i too always thought it would happen sooner or later, but i thought it'd be from a venomous snake.

 i grew up watching him on the tv this is sad indeed i kinda though of him as a superman in a way hell the way he handled deadly animals rip Steve Irwin

Sad, yes. But com'on, you can't say that it took any of us by surprise. I mean the man is out there putting his life on the line for our entertainment and his own everyday. It was bound to happen sooner or later.
But yeah. Poor guy.

well, I don't think it was a surprise that he died from an attack of some sorts by an animal, but that it was a stingray mainly, and that he wasn't even touching the thing. It got spooked by something else and tragically hit Stevo in the heart with that stinger. I think most of us can agree we thought it would most likely have been a snake or croc.
The shock if it was just like the shock of hearing Princess Diana died in that car accident. You know it's true but you are numb and don't want to believe it. Sucks big time.
