Hi everyone

I took my car to the mechanic to have the CEL code ran, and he said that my engine ran too lean. He had the carbon cleaner put in the car, and it was fine. But I was on my way home and alas, it came back on. He suggested I put in fuel injector cleaner. does anybody have any suggestions on what type i should put in? I put in Lucas cleaner, but it still stayed on. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

The usual suggestion for Check Engine Light is to take it to Autozone or Advance Auto and get the code(s) read free. Then post the exact code(s). There are many reasons for lean conditions based on different lean codes.

Most "lean" codes are due to a vacuum leak. Any decent mechanic should know this.
