Sorry for the long post, but please read all.....
Just bought a 95 GL / 2.0L for my wife to replace her 95 Escort wagon. She totaled it in a T-bone when some gal on a cell phone in her Beemer ran a stop and pulled out right in front of her. That little Escort really took the the impact well. She hit the beemer at the center post between the doors and her air bags went off saving her from what could have been very serious injuries. Her speed was 35 mph at the time. Anyway now she has a Contour, and I have started on a path to improve it a bit for her. So far the following is what I have aquired for install. Most of this is from a Mystique that was the same color.

Tilt steering wheel column - but the air bag had gone off I read that if that is the case the steering wheel column must be replaced not just the air bag. I had intended to just install my steering wheel and air bag on this column. Is this correct the column I got is no good?

Leather seats with split fold down rear and power drivers - I installed the fold down rear seat no problem I was impressed that the additional seat bolts were in place for these seat backs. Now I looked under the front seat and there is no connector for the power seat. In the fuse block the 40 amp fues is in place. Need help with the routing for power. I want to do this correctly.

Power windows - Mine has cranks, got these out of a Contour with the switches and door panels. I have not opened my door panels yet but if the wiring for the power seat is not in place then perhaps the power window wiring is also missing.

Power antenna - from the Mystique I looked in the Contour and it does not have the wiring for this. Need info on how it needs to be run and what wires go where. I got about 5' of the harness from the trunk. I cut it off where someone else had damaged it.

I want to install the fog lights too but I have not found any vehicles that have/had them. Is that a common accessory? I would like a picture of them and how were they switched? I am looking for a source for used ones. But I need to know what I am looking for.

Installed the newer rear door sails that say Contour
Installed new2me clearer head lights. Getting those retaining clips off was a lot harder than putting them on.
Installed underhood insulation....ahhhh that's better.
Installed glove box found one the right color and not scratched up. Swapped to lokc our from mine. I like how it slowly lowers when opened.

I have done a search on these items and not found much on the installation of these from scratch. There were quite a few comments from folks that had no idea what they were saying. After having taken several of these vehicles apart in the junk yard, and been on several rabbit trails following things out I think this is going to be one of the easiest vehicles to work on over all. Just having it for a few days I am impressed on it's simplicity. My wifes car w/ the 2.0L wont be a hot rod but that doesn't mean it can't be comfortable and look good right!

Thanks for your comments and help.

Ok, I'm really confused...

1. What was she driving? An Escort or what?
2. Did she get hit in the drivers side? If so, why did her airbags go off from a side impact? Also, there is a really high possiblity for frame damage. If the airbag went off, you can replace just the airbag unit, you don't need to remove the whole steering unit.
3. Are you taking parts from the Escort to put in the Contour? Is the Escort being fixed???? So confused!

Clarify a little and people can help out.

She was driving a 95 Escort. It was totalled in the accident. She now has a base 95 Contour.

She t-boned the BMW when it pulled out in front of her. It was head-on for her. Therefore, airbags deploy.

He has bought numerous parts from a Mystique to upgrade the Contour. The Escort has nothing to do with his questions, just the story leading up to his questions. The airbag question had to do with the tilt steering column he's trying to install. It had no airbags.

As far as I know, you should be able to install your wheel and its airbag on the Mystique tilt column with no problem. Should be plug-n-play.

Did you check underneath the carpet to see if the connector is there, or just eyeball underneath the seat? If it is gone, you'll definitely have to pull the leads from a junkyard car and run them. Post this question in Aesthetics and you'll likely get a better response, possibly wiring diagrams from someone.

Again, see my response above. There's really no way to tell sometimes if the wiring is present or not. You'll just have to open up the door and see.

Fogs were a very common option. The switch was built in to the headlight switch. Junkyard would be quickest for this. Pro Burner driving lights at WalMart are the least expensive option, and many people on here replace their stocks with Pro Burners. $20 will get you started.

Play around with the search function. Most of these questions have been asked before and answered. Make sure you have the date range set to "all posts", make sure you're searching in the right sub-forum, and don't forget to search the archives too!
