I going to change the tranny fluid on my 99 CSVT. If I get the car on ramps and drain the tranny. ALL THE FLUID WILL COME OUT, CORRECT? Then I plan to fill it and then let the car roll off the ramps. That will allow any axcess to flow out and it will be up to the fill hole which is the 'fill til spill process'. BUT WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW YOU PUT THE FILL PLUG BACK ON WITH THE CAR DOWN? I think Big Jim stated to do it this way. I like this way because I don't have anywhere to put the car on a hoist. All I have are ramps.
Thanks everyone for your help.

After it spills out, raise the car back up and install the plug.
You must have some kind of jack you can use to raise the drivers side front corner.

I read the how to and is it absolutly necessary to have a pump to load the oil? Will the nozzle or cap allow to squirt in the hole? It is the Royal Purple Sycromax. (After reading all the fighting on the past forums reguarding tranny oil i decided to go with the RP).
Thanks

Not really, the fill hole won't let you get a bottle in there.
My best solution was to get one of those funnels with a flex tube and stick that bad boy in there.
...Well, my battery is in the trunk, makes lots-o-room in that area

Thats pretty much what I did on mine, took out the battery and battery case, and filled from above with flexible funnel.

I did mine while it was on the ground. You dont have to be directly under the car to fill the fluid. Just a little patience and working with it. Took me about 30 min. I turned my wheel to the left and it gave me a little more clearance to move my arms around. You can feel the hole and see it if you dont mind some dirt in your hair.
