Well, it's not "Frisbee Football", but why not a fun and exilerating track day at Pocono as a September meet? September 10th, Sunday, is a Eastern Motor Racing Association (EMRA) (www.emraracing.org) Time Trial. I will be bringing out my former SCCA ITB 1987 Ford Escort GT racer for the first time since it last saw the track in 1999! Wish I could make it. I went for a few laps around Pocono a couple summers ago, in their cars, as a passenger. WOW! T.V. can't even BEGIN to convey the lateral forces those cars pull. Have fun guys.

From 12 Noon to 12:20 PM they are alowing "Virgin Laps" Drive your own car on the North road Course behind the pace car, or, ask for a ride with someone with a race car.

What time will you guys be there? I've never gone to a meet before but since it's not too far from where I live I think it would be a great start.

Here is an event schedule, from the EMRA website:

Check the Time Trial Date for Sept 9th and click on the "Event Schedule"
My #36 Ford Escort GT will be running in two run groups: The Student Group will have my brother/partner, Jim Zaroda driving.
I will most likely run in the White Group.
When you arrive at Gate 1 at Pocono, tell the Security guy you're with EMRA. You'll be given a Waiver to sign. You basicaly acknowledge your're in danger and only have yourself to blame if you get hurt because you now know better.
Drive in through the Tunnel. At the top of the hill, see if you can drive straight past a signboard on the ground, through a white gate and into the parking lot where the Snack Bar and First Aid are.
This is where I suggest you hold the Coutour meet.
It also offers the best viewing of the track's infield (over to the right, along the fence)
