car: '96 GL 2L auto.
problem: o/d light flash, shift bang

*(thanks for all the help I have received from this forum)

CD43 Ford called "Batavia"
Had problems early on...1994...when used with Ford Probes.
If you want to be enlightened see TSB 93-18-10

DTC codes: use EEC IV test connector, not MECS connector
(which one located under dash?..and location of the other?)

TFT--Transmission Fluid Temp.Sensor.
(anyone hear of problems with that sensor?)

(If you turn the o/d off) would it be ok to drive in the 3rd gear at 55mph?

See o/d light flashing..but no check engine light. Why?
Don't the DTC codes and CEL codes work together? For example, bad torque converter codes are P1741 to P1744.
Ford said I may have a bad T.C...but I never saw a check engine light.

thanks..

Read your previous thread .

The part number is in this thread.

If you are looking for a magical solution without doing anything, try sending a PM to F111D F. In this thread , he mentioned that he owned a magic rubber mallet.

The O/D light flash tells a trans fault is happening.
Take it to a reputable Trans shop and have it scanned. Don't guess at it. Too expensive. Check your last post as well there are replies there.
