Just trying to see how many people would like to come out on the 3rd for the annual meet at my house..I would just like everyone to bring something.. we are going to BBQ and mod some cars... So far its. Tim Phil Hector,kim and Lily  Me of course.. Steve if he doesnt have to work.

Sounds like total ass....have a high flow cat welded in it's place or install a used stock replacement.

Mark and I are gonna try and gut it tonight... if I hate it I will immediately buy the BAT Hi-flow dealio.. I'm assuming that the damned car will be in the shop for quite some time anyways - I just want to get it unclogged ASAP so I can go back to driving it and not worry that the blasted thing will start on fire or something because its smoking and physically hot to the touch. I think I might have a stock Y-pipe and flex area at home too (buried somewhere though) WTF is a test pipe?

A catless pipe that bolts in place of the stock unit. I have one fabbed up for my car but i only run it at the strip, it makes a noticeable change in power, but sounds terrible

why dont you just swap pipes with the totalled svt?
yup test pipe is just a straight pipe to replace the cat section [mines a 2 bolt flange to be specific]. yes it does sound like ass on a stock exhaust, with a optimized y-pipe its much more tolerable. Its nice if you plan on weilding up a hi-flow cat because its a hella lotta hassle to have one weilded up to your stock cat section [plus its really heavy].
if you gut the main cat, your going to lose low end power.

we are keeping it and still driving it daily... we are retaining the car and State Farm paid out the remainder. State Farm sold it back to us for $645.00

i know i'm late posting this you should ahve got the test pipe from trubendz. if I recall the bat high flow cat pipe deal is crap. And believe me a catless car is very very loud. I drove my svt that way for half a year with my trubendz cat back. My car at idle would drown out Marks CSVT while being revved Ask him how loud it was.

Hey guys I will be in Chicago this weekend. Actually leaving here in about 10 minutes. Any idea how far away the meet is from Oak Forest? I wont have the tour (last trip to chicago the freaking wheel fell off, so she will probably never make another trip out that way ) but I wouldnt mind checking out everyone else's ride's

got a call this morning at 6am from my buddy that just got back from Iraq... apparently while he was gone his wife was cheating and he kicked her out and they are getting a divorce so I promised him that we'd do something this weekend to cheer him up..
