this is the second day i noticed this dampness spot under my car seems like its under the a/c pump. i checked the lower hose i see no dampness. im hoping it's not the water pump. the water spot under my car not soaked like a puddle it's just damped.

Are you sure it's water and not antifreeze, oil or power steering fluid? You can tell the others by feel and smell. If it doesn't smell or feel slippery then yes I would assume it is just condensation off the suction/low pressure side of the AC lines.

my a/c is not hooked up. it has the freeon in there but i dont have the belt running it. so for today i havent seen any other spots besides this morning and yesterday morning. i did feel it yesterday it felt more like regular water. i was hoping it wouldnt be the water pump which i doubt it. has the original pump for 137k miles. thanks for the replies.

Put a piece of cardboard under the car and try to pinpoint the location of the leak based on where the moisture is on the cardboard. Front of the engine (passenger side) would indicate possible water pump failure. White cardboard would be even more helpful, as you can see the fluid color. Brown=oil, red=tranny fluid, green=coolant, and clear could be either water or coolant.
