I recently had my car repainted and did a lot of work to it. This was back in June. I have yet to get side marker lights for the holes which were covered by GS symbols.

A couple of weeks ago at the NECEG meet Elky told me that someone had found side marker lights that fit directly into the holes. I believe it would be a 1.25in diameter circle.

I did a search and came up empty.

Does anyone know of these side marker lights?

or a good pair to get?

They're not exactly plug and play, but they're close. You'll have to do a fair amount of grinding/sanding to the light. It honestly is easier to take a little sander drum on the Dremmel and open the hole up just a tiny bit. There is a how-to with pics on the main site that has all the pics you want.

And just so "Chatty"vegasSE can feel fully justified in his libelous comments, here:

Oh wait...it's not libel if it's true.

I just put in the Hella LED bulbs. They look great, but are a major pita to put in.

did you tint them yourself or did you they come like that? Because a quick spray of niteshades could do it right probably?

Think they came like that, previous owner put them on

And yeah I'm sure nightshade would work, but don't know how well. I'll try to get some pictures later.

Bought a set off ebay for <$10 shipped, and they look great! The back side requires no sanding or cutting...its just a smooth (insert wisecrack here) shaft.

I'll see if I can find the link...

Edit:

Here ya go.

Sidemarkers

They look great in real life..better than the pics

the hole is around 11/16" - 13/16"

the lights I used were 15/16" (just under an inch) & I used the die grinder to open the hole up a bit
