I have about $400 or so to spend on a stock SVT...

Should I:
Buy a Trubendz exhaust and used B&M
Go to a local exhaust shop and replace the res. with a Magnaflow and lose the rear mufflers/add some tips---Hopefully cheaper than Trubendz, and I have fitment concerns.
Lowering springs
Try to find some cheap used wheels
Other (Please explaing)

Thanks!

Get some lowering springs and some cheap (I hate to say this) Ricer can mufflers and get your res. removed and replaced with straight pipe. my exhaust sounds great and everyone around that has heard it loves it. I only paid $30 a piece for my mufflers last year at NOPI in atl so if you look around you can find them cheap. Also look on Ebay for used B&M's i found a few the other day cheap just my .02

Umm...no.

My 2 cents says don't get rid of the center res, just upgrade current rear mufflers to something nicer. I purchased my svt with a straight pipe instead of a center res and holy crap did I rasp. Not so much when it was hot, but every other time it did rasp... oh and it drones like crazy on the highway. Just make sure you always drive your car over 3k rpms... under 3k kills your ears.

Don't do lowering springs unless you plan on doing shocks. Save up a little more and do springs/struts at the same time. Unless you want to just upgrade the struts only.

Personally, I'd suspsension first as you will feel/enjoy that more then simple bolt on power. Do exhaust if you want more sound.

Or you could do MAF adapter/K&N, replace resonator and get the y-pipe optimized for less then $400. Then if you still don't like the sound save up for mufflers next.

It depends. How long is that $400 gonna be the only $$ you can throw at your ride?

If you're likely to have more $$ before too long, then don't spend any of it, save it up for headers and trubends and a K&N 3530.

If that $400 has to last you a long time, then upgrade that stock resonator, it's a bad bottle neck, get a K&N, and look into modding your stock y-pipe. With $$ for gas and a heatshield left over. New lowering springs on stock struts is looking to get your stock struts shot.

I ended up replacing my rear mufflers with a Magnaflow knock off...not too expensive, but not a
$30 cheapo job either....and removed resonator. Sounds pretty good, but drones at 2500-2900RPM.

That drone is a big part of the reason to replace your stock resonator with a better one instead of going with no resonator at all.

Well, the drone is from the rear mostly...just a bit louder at hwy cruising speed...nothing I can't handle.
