An ASU club is putting together a meet on the 25th in the evening. Copied below is the post on Focaljet:

Hey guys, DRD is gonna be doing a welcome back G2G at In-N-Out on the 25th to welcome all our new members and just relax before school really kicks into high gear, and the organizer has asked me to invite everyone I know.

It'll prolly start around 6:00 pm and we're trying to think up some stuff to do while we're there instead of just sitting around. maybe a cruise down the new 202 bottom loop or something afterwards.

the AZ F-body club has been invited and i'm sure 1320stangs will be too.

This could be a good time for our massive G2G everyone was talkin about.

(BTW it's the IN N Out at the 202 and Rural road.)

Wow, loads of interest in getting the Contours out and about.

The latest post on the focaljet about this event is pretty optimistic about the turnout, the focaljetters alone have an impressive list going. Full race is supposed to be there and so far a more precise time is:

6:30 eats at the In N Out
7:30 meet at ASU lot 59 for the main event......

I'll see what I can do. If I can replace my broken trans mount and one of my roll restrictors (trashed taking the weight of the tranny) tonight, I might just be there. My car is also mid-project on my oiling upgrades so my front bumper cover is off and I'm not going to put it back on until I'm done (about another month).

I know, I know... I'm always full of excuses. I just have way too many concurent projects going on and trying to keep up with stuff breaking during it. Cool thing is that I've completed a bunch and am close to finishing most of the rest. My goal has been to have as many projects completed as possible before the Oct 13th NFS run.

Alright... talked to the wife and looks like I'm in! I'm working from home tomorrow... so whatever I don't finish tonight, I'll finish up tomorrow. I guess I'll put the front cover back on too... don't want anyone making fun of my ghetto looking car

My two step-bros might also come. Their currently checking with their wives.

So the in and out at the 202 but at what time?

Morbid: WAY TO GO MAN!!! Are you on the west side? If so we could hook up and go down together. If not, I'll see you down there, I'm not certain I'm going to the In N Out as I believe the main G2G is lot 59, and traffic will be more tolerable a little later.....I'll probably leave around 6:30.

Nezerconezer: I have noted that the parking at the In N Out isn't in abundance for the crowd they're talking about, but if you want to I'm told 6:30 (18:30) at the In N Out and 7:30 (19:30) for the actual G2G at ASU lot 59 (there's a cruise on the 202 south region sometime thereafter).

BTW, here's the entry Chewy made on the Focaljet about the expectations of this event:

"not to get everyone too excited but the list right now includes some 40-50 cars, full race is coming out, surge speed shop and their subarus, 1320 stangs, az f-body and some camaros, azstreetspeed.com and a few other clubs. this is gonna be AMAZING!!!"

I'm basically at Cactus and SR-51. I wasn't planning on going to the InO either... so I was planning on heading out at 19:00. If you're going SR-51 instead of I-17, we could meet up around here or something.

I'm figuring I have way too much stuff to finish up on my car to do during my breaks... so, um.. *cough* I'm starting to feel sick I'll check back here once in a while to look for replys.

Oh... if there are other people around this side of town, we could pick a point more central to the others. If not... I'm just a couple minutes from the on ramp.

I'll be going right past there, as I always use 51 myself. Let me know where to meet. I'll PM you a cell number.

cool! I'll give you a call in a bit... I need to get cleaned up and pick up my daughters. Unfortunetly I didn't have time to put my front end back on. I just now finished up replacing the mounts

That wasn't a bad G2G, just wish I could get the 2 sons to come out to something, once, together.......anyway, good to see three Contours out there Friday night, your cars all looked good!

I'll make a separate post about the LONG RUN in October. I think some of you may already know about it.....
