i have a 3.0 just lying around in my basement, and now in school im learning how to port and polish heads. i was thinking of porting the 3.0 heads and putting the svt cams in them to have the lower combustion chamber for a later turbo set-up. my question is this; what are acceptable flow numbers for the DOHC heads on the flow bench and whats the highest that anyone has gotten?

Velocity and swirl are more paramount then peak cfm flow.

So what would be the best flow numbers for a proper 3l head with svt cams after porting it?

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

i should have specified the most flow with the most improvement. volume is not velocity i know. i was just looking for the best flow numbers that work.

Ours flow about 140 intake at max lift and 120 exhaust. Couple of hints do not gasket match everything unless you go from manifolds to TB. Do not even widen the ports very much, and work the roofs and bends to perfection. Good luck!

I offer PnP Heads for all durtec's details at PnPheads.com or jesse@pnpheads.com for details.
