I agree, although as unemotional as her parents were at the time of her death, I'm sure this will never happen. And they wonder why they were suspects...6 yrs old, my world would've crashed.

What perplexes me is the fact that this dude was NEVER mentioned from what I recall. How did they all of a sudden decide that he was the one? I mean, the arrested the parents for goodness sake. What a bungling bunch of cops.

He was already a suspect. This isn't some random guess. Why mention the names of suspects? That can only tip people off and do no good at all. As it is, he was already in Thailand. If he knew he was being looked at he would probably have fled to a contry with no extradition treaty with the US.

What CNN was saying this morning is that they'd been watching this guy for a while, and finally swooped. He's said on camera that he wasn't innocent (or at least replied "No" when a reporter asked him if he was innocent), that he loved her, and her death was an accident. Dude looks the part, too. And living in Bangkok? Yeah...guess where you can get child prostitutes? Anyway, this guy's hosed, unless he gets a really good lawyer who manages to spin the "crazy as a loon" defense.

BANGKOK, Thailand - A former American school teacher said publicly Thursday that he was with JonBenet Ramsey when she died in what he called "an accident," a stunning admission after a decade without answers in the 6-year-old girl's murder. But the suspect's ex-wife said she was with him in Alabama at the time of JonBenet's 1996 death.

My guess is that he, through one way or another, got a fascination with the kid and he tried to kidnap her. And somewhere along the line, he accidentally killed her, and then fled the country.

Well, until the DNA or the boot print is found to be his, I am not 100% convinced that he actually did it. I know he is a child porn freak and all, but innocent till proven and whatnot...
I hope he is the guy since he confessed and all, so this can finally be laid to rest.
