I noticed latly that I have had a pretty mean rattle coming from my car. I had at first thought it was my Transaxle but today it was especially bad and I notiticed it was coming from my Cat. Has anyone else experienced this. If so I would like to just replace it wit hstraight pip which I cant do cause it has a slight bend in it. Has anyone gone to a muffler shop and had it done or know the exact dimensions I might need?

I dont think its the heat shield at least it didn't seem like it I might as well take it to a shop though get a free estimate. It seems to have lost some power, so I been thinkin it could be internal but Im'm not getting any smells.

That was the problem and solution with mine.
It was slight rattle when I was taking off, sounded like it was comming from the tranny. Most of the welds just rusted out.

I joined together a few extra long hose clamps to secure my heat shields. Every car seems to need that

Or buy an exhaust repair kit for $6 (at Advance or Autozone) which has a strap, nuts and bolts. Cut the strap to size, wrap around heat shield and bolt it up.
