Here is the link for over at neco for the new intake..

As some of you have seen, on here and in person, I have made up some "short ram" and "long ram" intakes. I have a few sets made up and ready for sale. I have tested each style on my own car - each works well - just like any other SRI. However, I personally think there are some benefits to mine

1. my intakes are CLEAR - they make a visual statement when people see them.

2. the diameter of mine is 3 inches. This provides a constant diameter from the filter to the throttle body.

The SHORT intake can replace a stock rubber part, just like any other SRI. The LONG intake not only replaces the rubber intake tube, but also the MAF assembly (you will need to remove your MAF sensor and install it on my clear tube).

I am offering both of these in two style: basic and full kits. The BASIC kits are for people that already have an SRI and do not need the couplers and filters and clamps - this includes anyone who wants to add this to an existing CAI system. The FULL kits contain all of the pieces necessary to replace a stock air system. All kits include smaller clear attaching hoses for additional clear effect.

I CURRENTLY HAVE SIX SHORT SETS and ONE (maybe two) LONG SETS.
I can get more supplies, but it may take a couple weeks.
Keep in mind these are hand crafted and are not mass-produced-perfect. The Long tubes have hand molded MAF mounting pads.
Instructions will be included.
I do NOT have CAI extensions at this time.
PM me for payment details (PayPal preferred). All prices INCLUDE shipping to US.

Initially my thought was the same as Haroon's, but, you can paint the damn thing or wrap it in something to your style too

Pretty cheap alternative to the accordian crap that came stock.

Pulling the CALIBRATED MAF electronics out of it's housing and haphazardly sticking them in a clear tube. Definitely not the brightest idea ever thought up. Definitely!

wtf! stay away! That is the EBAY SPECIAL GONE BAD!

I would know I bought the original.

The orginal at least had a metal tube. And that MAF Adaptor is made for a zetec most likely. I had to ream the holes and port the MAF adatpor. Not to mention that looks like cheap clear arcylic tube. Heat + Arylic plastic = Brittle. And if that thing snaps when you hit a pot whole guess where the plastic goes and melts into?

Worse idea ever...please no one buy this.

No sir, it is Lexan glass- but still, I didnt even THINK of what DemonSVT mentioned and it's so true.

I wouldn't buy the entire thing, just the accordian replacement. If it' even sold that way.

no its not. but I think he made that specifically because some people requested it. you can of course get the other that retains the stock MAF housing.

and concerns with the "plastic". Its lexan [also known as polycarbonate]. it wont splinter if something catastropic happens, in fact its rather difficult to crack it.

I really wouldnt be all that worried about it over heating. lexan's pretty tolerant to heat. I use to use it on my battlebots. Those electric motors have melted alot of components but never affected the lexan skin. You should have alot of warning if your hood temp is too high for the lexan [but if thats the case, you probably have an engine fire]. Under high heat [and relative humidity], the lexan will "frost" over [its actually millions of microscopic air bubbles that develop].

I've seen his intake in person, personally, its not my thing but it was really nicely done and I would not hesitate to recommend it [the non-maf version that is]

yes... I am a cougar owner trolling on your board.

Very nice. The white color of the plastic hose adapters is the only thing that makes me hesitate. If they were grey, black, or clear, I would be more interested.

As long as the maf sensor is in a similar position within the pipe with unobstructed airflow, I don't see the big deal about moving it. Don't some people modify their housings anyway?
