Hey Guys,

Did you ever remove the Black Strips on the roof.

One the passenger side, I have a bit of rust bubbles near the black stripe.

Thanks,

The water channels on the roof are designed to prevent water from flowing from the roof to the sides (and flowing down the windows and doors). So that you don't get a "waterfall" splash of water when you get out of the car during a rainstorm.

Yes the water channels.

Are they Glued?

How do you take them out and put them back?

Thanks,

Mine pop right out, but my car is quite old.

If you take them out, don't try and bend them, its a PITA to get it straight again.

Yes, they come off pretty easily, too easily as the car gets older.

When I had my car they were all coming loose on the ends. I pulled them up as far as they wanted to go, cleaned out underneath (you might want to do something about the rusting), test fit, then put in some RTV, and pushed them back in. I taped them down while the RTV dried. Worked well!
