Hello I have a 1996 SE with 2.5 5 speed.About 30,000 miles ago I replaced the 3rd gear syncro.It worked fine till latley , and it is gringing 3 rd gear again.Any reason it weht out again? Any type of fluid of additive that may help it?

What fluid are you currently using?

Third gear synchro slopiness is somewhat a charicteristic of this trans. Terry Haines can cure it, but you would need to send the trans to him for a rebuild.

An alternative (but not a complete answer) is the fluid. Ford Honey with 2 oz of Ford friction modifier has greatly reduced the 3rd gear sloppiness in my car.
