brothers car makes 540rwhp on a mustang dyno at 11psi while running out of fuel. take it to a different tuner, and it now makes 500rwhp on a dynojet at 15psi with plenty of fuel. go figure.
02 Mustang GT... Tuned by Nelsons. Low 12's, anyone?

Another reason why dyno numbers are somewhat meaningless.
Top tuner of subaru's in Australia I believe dyno's his car at like 550 AWHP or so... run 8's. Top evo tuners in the states dyno at over 1000 hp and run 9's.
Dyno's are good for tuning.. the track is good for results.

Even then it varies from place to place with changes in alt and whatnot.
But i get what you mean.
The only way to see if your faster than someone, is pull up to the same track and go when the tree turns green.

go figure.
Easy, he added more fuel to be safe but the added fuel reduced heat of combustion and therefore reduced power. If it wasn't detonating before even though it was leaner, he could gain some of it back probably by leaning it back out. It isn't necessarily just the dyno though at 500+hp it could be run to run and dyno to dyno variation too.

Actually from everything I've seen they're usually more accurate. They're also better for tuning (which is what a dyno is really for anyways) because you can load the car to simulate real conditions. Other dynos are just WOT.

That is completely incorrect. Peak numbers of either tq or hp mean nothing. Power under the curve is what matters. This is significantly oversimplifying, but in general traction has the largest effect on ET and horsepower has a larger effect on trap speed.
