Well I finished painting the stock se rims and put them on the car this morning. Overall I am really happy with how they look, I wouldn't say i like them better than my enkeis but its nice to have a change. Let me know what you think...

A look at my old rims (Enkei CDR9)

I think I need some new tires...

And here are the painted stockers on the car...

And just for a little before and after comparison here is a pic from a shoot I did with my buddies RX-8...

The color combo is nice, but compared to the size of your old enkei's, the difference is huge(in a bad way).

yea i agree unfortunately, but it is only temporary until i can afford new tires for the enkeis. i can live with the difference for a little bit.

What kind of paint did you use? What prep work was involved?

Turned out really nice! Yes, the size difference sucks, but that was to be expected. Good work!

Size difference is noticeable but you made due with what you have. Looks good for temporary wheels

i just used duplicolor metallic silver and graphite with a clear coat. the screws on the centercap were painted with metallic silver model paint. prep work wasnt too bad i sanded the original paint then primer, sand, then two coats of each color and clear coat. hopefully they wont chip.
