Anyone could blow the trans or clutch with a stock motor. It just depends on your driving habits. The axles should be fine regardless. The centerforce clutch though...

Yeah... Centerforce clutches arent really much to brag about...

An exhaust will give you 3 MAYBE 4 wheel HP depending upon how you do it. an intake... about the same if you are lucky. as for a chip, I wouldnt get a performance chip until you know you are done modding the car performance wise, make it the last thing you do.

Since this really isnt that much power you have nothing to worry about for the drive axels or your clutch. But dont go driving like a [censored] head. The Differential in the MTX-75 is fragile, I think pretty much every single CSVT ower has had to drop their trans and had it replaced or updated with an LSD (which I suggest you do).

Not true. You can damage drive axles on a bone stock motor just as easy as a modified one. Wheel hop is usually the cause, but not always.

O Rly?

The stock diff. is not as weak as you always make it sound. IIRC alot of it depends on the year also. I thought I read on here that Ford used a stronger diff. in the earlier MTX-75. Could be wrong though.

The stock diff. without abuse can hold up just fine.

And since nobody has mentioned it, I would just stick with the stock water pump. If anything, just replace the stock unit with one that has the metal impellar. It's really not robbing you of any HP. The reason some people are running them, is because of the 3L engine they went to, doesn't retain the cam driven WP.

Nothing but issues with elec. pumps. I have a WP with a metal impelar in the classifieds if you want one.

I have my stock Diff. Most of the time you hear about a diff being replaced is when it was being abused. I know they are weak and should have been upgraded by svt. I will upgrade mine when the stock on fails. But i see no sence in dropping the trans unless there is a reason (broken diff).

this is what i read: E0 SVT's have a torque biasing diff. E1's have a torque sensing. (aka, 1 wheel wonder) i heard the E0 diff is better but they changed it because of cost and tire wear increase. i'm most likely wrong, i read it on this site when i was searching for info, im sure of that much.
