LOL, ceg'ers think alike. I was talking to him online last night and I told him, "the only thing I would be interested in would be the sills for the rear doors with '171' which is my build number of course."

another thing would be a blank oval of aluminum that would fit where the ford badges are, that way you can put any badge (svt, v6, 3.0) on it you would like.

I do remember a member making this type of thing with the svt emblem on it, so if they still are producing these then never mind as we dont need to be taking business from another ceg'er.

I just thought i would let you all know that if we end up making custom door sills for each person they most likely WILL cost more than $40 because we need to change the machine for each person and we aren't mass producing them.

I need to get a hold of some regular door sills to make measurements (i dont have my own Contour as of now) than my father and I can design them and make some prototypes.

I think they were $40 when they first came out I have seen them closer to $70 now... correct me if I am wrong, I will try to find out where I saw the price.

You could always just make them blank and then people could add what ever they wanted on the door sill. This would keep your price much lower since you have less machine set up time. Paint, sticker decal, and if you want to get really tricky you could mask off what ever you want on it then sandblast or media blast it and it would give a dull frosted look while the masked area will still be polished aluminum. This would look very similar to the focus SVT ones that many have already.

Well, we have the capabilities to sandblast them too. I just figured that it would look better to have them machined and not just sanded.

How much would you all be willing to pay for a custom machined door sill with build # or whatever u want on it?

OR, if you all can agree on one design, (SVT, CEG, Contour, etc...) we can probably make them cheaper.

Something along the lines of these?

FYI these were done in mirror polished stainless plate.
