I seem to recall a bunch of ya'll last year meeting on the weekends for cruising. Well, Saturday us Cougar folks have a large mod-meet going on, with people coming from as far as Iowa, and we're looking to do some cruising tonight.

Since I'm new to Detroit I was hoping ya'll could help me out. Where's a good place for us to go and hangout, cruise around, without much hassle. Keep in mind that there will be cars like mine there, and I'd prefer good roads in the area, since I wouldn't want to destroy any of the $10k in bodywork on my car. I'm rather low in the front (even with the GC's all the way up), and I'm riding on 19's with teeny tires -- so potholes, speedbumps, and the like are out of the question.

Any help? Thanks!

Woodword would be your best bet. Always a lot of nice cars out there on the weekends. You can drive from downtown Detroit where Woodward starts and head towards Pontiac. Always a lot of cars in the Birmingham/Royal Oak area.

Yeah, I had thought about Woodward, didn't know it was a standard cruise spot, tho. I tend to see a lot of the kids out on Telegraph later on, but they are always trying to get me to race and with the # of 3L's that'll be going out tonight we don't need that type of stress.

And yup, our mod-meet is tomorrow. If it was at my place, or our standard clubhouse I'd invite ya'll to show up, since we'll be doing everything from full suspension swaps, headlight flasher installs, rear subframe swaps, CAI installs, and tons more. Unfortunately its at one of our newer members houses, and her parents are already going to freak out when they see how many of us are coming, and what we're going to be doing, lol... I don't think she realized what she got herself into. :P

Take I-696/Woodward and go N to about 15 mile and your all set, many places to stop along the way. Look for Ryelou and Dave to be hangin' out near the Little Casers just N of 14 and Wooward and theres a nice ice cream shop right across the street. Depending on what time you try and park its going to be tight, very tight

I think Dave (MxRacer) is gone for the weekend. I know he won't be out tonight but I'm not positive about tomorrow. I'm not sure I'll be out there myself tonight, but we'll see. Tomorrow I probably will either way though. I've got some business to tend to with an uninformed LT1 owner and a friend in a Mach 1
