My '95 Contour SE (V6 MTX) passed 200,000 miles last week. Quite amazing.
Curious to know if anyone has passed 250,000 miles or so?
It's had most of the usual Contour issues, and still has a couple of quirks, but just keeps running. I bought it at 60,000 miles in '98 and I still love driving it. Over the winter it has studded snow tires on it and its awesome to drive in the snow - more fun than my wife's Audi A4Q even. My wife and I fight over who's going to drive it!
Great car.

congrats on the accomplishment and welcome to the site!
I agree, driving these cars in the snow is SO FUN! It makes winter much more enjoyable, that's for sure.

Definitely. My Contour was my favorite snow car (short of my parents' Subarus of course). Handled fantastic in no-traction conditions, especially without ABS getting in the way.

If tradition has held, Phil (Unisys12) should have about a half million miles on his Mystique by now. But I think he was planning to be gentle with the Mystique as she ages, so he may only be creeping up on 300k... Phil?
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

MY old 95 se had 280,000 miles on it when we sold it. Was still running great. Although it had its fair share of creaks, squeeks, and rattles.
