Just wondering what tranny will fit my contour svt 5 speed,,I heard there is no difference from any contour v6 5 speed and that a 2001 or 2002 mercury cougar will fit..just wonder if these are true facts Thanks Derek

Yes they will all work. The shift tower ends might differ though. Have to swap your tower over if it's different.

Sorry Todd, not all V6 MTX's will fit. The early years were rod shift as compared to your cable shift. I think they were changed over in 98+ model years.
I'll put holes in him!!

Yes they will. They rod shift will need to be converted over but it will bolt up. He just asked if it would bolt up. LOL! I think I know the differences since I own one of each.

rod shift = best
