I had my Auitour's LEDs for quite some time, then the rear ones and the front passenger window stopped lighting up - all of a sudden. I thought a problem were the LEDs, the contacts, the soldering, etc.; so I replaced them for another set that '99 Contour SE made for me. The same thing - the LEDs don't light up, the switches work normally though.
When I was replacing them LEDs I checked - visually - all the wires and whatnot - nothing seemdd to be lose.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Well I can't really blame anyone - b/c it's a bit of a coincidence - why none of them works? Neither 4 switches made by '99 Contour SE nor some made by Llane...

I just did this to my car, by myself. No problems yet, maybe he just used the wrong type of resistor.

they are tempramental(sp?)...i independently wired mine to the lights power wire so they each had their own resistor. fixed the problem with them working correctly.

What resistors did he supply you with? I had burn out issues as well since he told me to use 330 ohm resistors. I decided to calculate it out and see if 330 ohm was the correct resistor. I found out that a 680 and larger ohm resistor will safely power the leds that he provided. The reason they are all not working is that fact that when the led is over powered the life decreases exponentially. My guess is they stopped working because they burned up.

That's what I thought first. But come and think about it:
Auitour's might have burned out, but then I am replacing them for the ones made by the other guy and still the same result - even prior to initial use - none of them is working...

My drivers door LED does this every so often. If you hit it hard enough it comes back on most of the time.
