Hi.

I own a European version of the Contour, a Ford Mondeo GT.

Engine: Duratec V6 24v 2.5L

I'm just playing with the idea of turbocharge this engine, i haven't seen much tuningparts for these engines/cars so the easiest way to get some serious gain in horsepower and torque seems to be turbocharging.

I think i've read that this Engine is built in aluminium?

CompressionRatio: 9,7:1 How should i select turbo for this engine, what would work best, internal or external wastegate?

Does the engine need some other modifications? New pistons?

Someone who has done this sucessfully before? (those superchargerkits are kind of expensive..)

There is a guy with a Cougar (Shagmonkey on NECO) in the UK (2.5L V6) that had a custom supercharger put on. It was a procharger unit. Maybe their shop would be interested in selling more kits... Here is the link to it:

Otherwise I'm working the bugs out of a supercharger kit that will be forsale here in the US. Here's the link to that post:

There was a turbo kit available for the 2.5L V6 but it was too expensive so it didn't sell very well. The US Company stopped selling it and will be coming out with a cheaper version. Their web site is: www.arizonadynochip.com

For Contour Performance Parts check the links section of this forum from the main page. Click on the company pages down below. Some sites have since closed shop but SP motorsports has some good parts and a few others do as well:
