when I take off in first gear and the car is warm, the car shutters. Its a CSVT with 40K miles. And I know how to drive a stick well-at least i think i do. What could it be?
Just drove a 02 WRX and it didn't do that.

does it do it in every gear from a low RPM?

could be a worn out motor/trannie mount. seems to be pretty common around here.

The car is never raced, but I do a lot of residental driving and the car has been shifted a lot. Only happens sometimes when warm. Also I shift at like 2200 most of the time and I dont shift fast...but I do have my fun every once in a while...never any neutral slams

CAUTION: Neutral slams (can) lead to blown diffs.
only from expeirence (my buddy did it when he owned my CSVT....and if it hadn't been for him blowing it, i may not have ever gotten my CSVT)

LOL! its obvious you havent been around long... I think over 75% of the MTX owners here on CEG have experienced a blown differential.
