Anybody use this company to replace their stripped sunroof gears ?

http://www.sunroofgears.com/

I'm tired of not having my sunroof work and don't want to buy a whole motor if I can avoid it.

I have what I think is the first sunroof gear made by the following company in my svt. Same price as that site, maybe exact same product.

The gear in your roof, Ross, is (in fact) the VERY first gear made by Jeff Caplan at odometergears.com.

So are these two the same place and are these gears really working? I remember a guy here trying to mold new gears a year or two ago but they kept breaking and never really heard anymore. Are these from the same guy or somebody else...not from CEG? Sunroofgears.com say they have a lifetime warranty...will they stay in buisness or are they still even around?

Jeff Caplan (odometergears.com) was the guy on here. His username was hamonbagel.

He did make the gears about 2 years ago, and the first prototypes were weak, due to a design flaw, but the revised ones have the same track record as those at sunroofgears, etc. Some still do break.. most issues are from misalignment after refitting the gear (operator error) but some have infact broken from no fault. Lifetime replacements are valid, and the company (I can't speak about all of them, but this one) has been around for YEARS.
they make gears for boats, high-end cars, and many other applications, so my worry about the company leaving is nill-to-none
