find some kinda heat sheild at least. with that open filter in the engine bay will have "heat soak" problems, traffic summer, you know....dirty filters too.

Yes.. i just did some fourm searching... makes me a bit skeptical( power loss, stuff like that), i dont mind making a heatsink (garbage can) or w/e but, i dont want to waste time and money putting this stuff on.. ya know?

will it be worth it in the end?

i dont expect to get 20hp or anything like that but maybe a mpg or 2 and maybe a horsie or 2?

With realistic expectations like those, then you won't be disappointed at ALL!

good for a mpg or so, and maybe 1-2 hp. the mileage increase will likely be negated by the increase in pedal useage from the GREAT sound it makes.

The K&N cone with a good heatshield provides essentially no power by itself. It does, however, provide a bit of improvement to throttle response: optimize the TB too to make it more pronounced.

And it sounds frickin' awesome.
