Well after almost a month without my baby, my CSVT is alive and kicking (way harder now). I got her 3L running last night at 11:42pm and she was on the dynojet for a tune by 10:30am this morning. Final numbers are 199.1 horsepower at the wheels, I will post the dynojet graphs if I can figure out how to do that. For everyone who lives in Southern California - Swanson Performance in Torrance did the tune and was amazing, Danny (the owner) is very knowledgeable about Fords.
Thanks to all who supplied the wonderful information on this site (I relied heavily on warmonger's and demonsvt's posts and pages - thanks to you both even though I have never reached out to either of you).
She actually started on the first try! Now I will start to work on her suspension and I think she needs a little more kick so I am going to make custom headers and a cold air intake.
I cannot wait for this weekend - I am heading out to Willow Springs for her re-christening run.

Congratulations! 199 wHP is pretty darn good for a non-loaded 3L conversion. Blow on the filter and you'd be over the 200wHP mark. lol Headers will definitely help, along with a filter with a very large filter-area to reduce restriction.

congrats, I hope I have similar numbers when I'm done...(well a little higher since I have headers.. ) But nice job man.

congrats! I am trying to have someone shim my tranny since I dont know how to do that. But hopefully soon I will be in your shoes and have my CSVT back on the road instead of on blocks.

Congratulations! I know the feeling ... I just finished up my 3L (+SVT Cams) about a month ago and I'm slowly breaking her in (hard). My next step is to book some dyno time

Thanks to all for the congrats. I cannot keep from smiling as I drive down the street. People have actually been looking at me like I am a "Special Needs" individual who should not be driving. I am very glad I took my car straight to the dynojet to be tuned, it was worth every penny.
111r - I am very sorry but I forgot your name. I got the motor from an All-Ford junkyard in Orange County - it is a 2003 that started life in a Mercury Sable.
I was a little worried about the condition because it had 43,000 miles on it (not sure how the previous owner maintained it) but all of my concerns were gone when we took it apart. It was so clean inside I thought the junkyard made a mistake and gave me a new engine. I probably did not have to, but we replaced all of the bearings. The gaskets, of course, were all replaced and I went with a brand new oil pan and pickup from the Escape - the tranny bolts right in no problem, the windage tray from the 03 3L is the most recent one (according to my Ford parts guy) so there was one thing I did not have to replace. My brother - a fabricating wunderkind as it turns out, I knew he was smart (engineer for a non-Ford domestic car company) but wow - did the port matching of the 3L heads and also polished the exhaust ports. I also upgraded the clutch to a Spec Stage 3 (a little bit of a learning curve with this for street driving, but I am sure the sacrifice will be worth it when I get on the track and when I start to make more power) and a Fidanza Flywheel.
Question - has anyone on CEG put the all-wheel drive from a baby Jaguar in their 3L yet? I do not think that the 3L Jag had a manual transmission option, but I believe the 2.5L did. Any thoughts or guidance on this would be great.
I seem to really enjoy spending money on my car.

IT CANNOT BE DONE! I just had a jag up on the lift at work and I looked at it. Nearly impossible for the amateur fabricator. BUT you could get the 3L and manual in 02-03.

You know what CAN be done?
AWD mondeo subframe, transaxle and rear hubs, et al.
THAT would/will be a FAIRLY simple swap to a tour.
