Has anyone seen the headlamp cleaning kit that Walmart sells? Its $20.00 and was wondering if someone had already used it. Suppose to make your lamps look brand new, easy and quick it says. Just curious.

There are many kits out there. Can you provide a little more detail?

What's included in it? Is it anything like the lensrenew.com kit that I'm thinking of getting?

If you have moderate to heavy hazing I doubt it will get it all clear. Though if you have a little, I'm sure it would help some. On my headlights I used 700 and then 1500 grit sandpaper and wetsanded them down. Then polished them with PlastX and the look brand new

why would you doubt it? It's the same process except with drill attachments. My arm is getting tired of sanding so I think it may not be a bad investment.

Ohh I didn't look at that lensrenew kit. That actually looks really nice

But looking what that process can do. I will admit that it is time consuming if you want it done right, but look what it did for me.

I know, I've done it 3 or 4 times already. My results have been an improvement, but still so-so. I blame it on my technique. I don't know when the sanding is enough to overcome the previous lower grit. I figure it might be easier with one of these kits so I'm gonna go to walmart right now and check it out.

Checked that walmart kit out. It's just a few materials in a silver baggy for hand cleaning up your headlights. It was in the same section as the proburners. For less that 20 bucks(which is what it cost) you could just buy the proper sandpaper, compound, polish, etc and follow the faq for the same results IMO.
