This is crazy. We've gotten so much rain that everything is flooding. We got home just in time: almost every road is flooded out now. We took a long way home to avoid the valley and still had to drive through a lot of water. A guy that's lived up the road for almost seventy years says he's never seen it this bad. We're on the top of a hill and the runoff is so bad that the garage was flooding. I spent about an hour on the tractor trying to dig a diversion ditch, and finally got the flooding away from the garage walls. A guy I know at the bottom of the hill had water up to the rocker panels on his SUV. His house must be flooding now. Wunderground says we're getting a quarter of inch per hour now, and it may intensify to two inches per hour later tonight. Harford had a flash of one inch of rain in fifteen minutes. Storm totals are nearing twelve inches. Dikes and dams are very highly loaded.

Geez, how come we just keep getting these huge bursts of rain? I'm glad this isn't the winter time, or this would be a massive amount of snow. 3/4 of our yard was under water yesterday.

This really sucks. Its been what about 5 days now. For those of you in the Central PA area, City Island is going to be underwater . And if you happen to have your car on City Island it needs to be off of it by 10 AM tomorrow. Good thing i live on the top of a hill.

It's pretty wild. Two people had vehicles get swept away: one just went sideways, the other went off the road. Our lake is over a foot higher than it was Saturday. Roads are torn up. I think the pictures explain it better: Album

The homes around two lakes near my house had to be evacuated. 25 feet above normal levels. Oh! 3 kids were in a car being swept away - they were rescued....they proceeded to get into another car which ended up getting swept away. No rescue this time.

Yeah, I work for PennDOT, it's horrible up here in Wyoming county, I can hardly believe half of the things I've seen in the past 3 days, everyone is comparing it to the '72 flood. This is gonna take months to fix just the main roads, and we won't be able to start until tomorrow or friday. The regular guys up there are on OT until midnight tonight, I'll probably be with them as soon as we get the federal money, over 12 hour days here I come.

Waymart wasn't too pretty either. Our usual small stream was hitting the bottoms of it's bridges which is about 5 feet higher than normal. They evacuated half of the town because the other half was seperated from the rest by the bridges that were closed down. Farview Mountain just had a month worth of construction work done to it to help prevent flooding on the mountain. Big waste of time, since I managed to cross about 5 inches of water in 4 different spots with my svt.
I call my E0 Claire.
24 hour what?
I'm looking to buy a like-new condition SVT grill, and a shift knob that works with the reverse lever PM me with the details.

We got a lot of rain but not too bad with the flooding in the area. The City did close Sand Island as it's flooded.
The City of Easton got hammered again though. The gas station is under water, McDonald's got flooded and the hotel had to move the lower level furniture, etc. to higher ground. They closed the Easton/P'burg bridge, and all the surrounding streets.
From my understanding it's only going to get worse. The river is supposed to crest sometime tomorrow.
