has anyone else noticed that they dubbed a V8 sound for the caliber for the commercials??

They're debating/testing out an AWD set-up for the Caliber SRT-4 for later years. I personally don't see it happening, but if it does that should be pretty sweet.

On Top Gear they mentioned that they were in trouble for doing that, but I haven't seen one myself.

I do get tired of the Turbo sounds on the Maxima commercials though.

Sweet concept but that will not help the car in the looks department.... it looks like s@#t.

Personally, I like it better than the usual 4x4 "Angulars" all the car companies seem to be making these days. I like Mazda 3, for it's similarity in looks to my Contour but I have to buy a 5 door hatch to get performance out of the box.

In the end, the torque wins (to me). However, I can recieve retirees' discounts on Ford/Mazda products though, which levels it off a bit.
