Ok this car is drivin me nuts.It cuts out really bad after it gets warm, after about 10min drive time it will constantly cut out, then I had to pull over and it died.

In the morning when its first started, runs really good.I mean it dont cut out or nothin, just runs sweeeet.

Recently replaced coil pack, wires, plugs, fuel filter, and sprayed the air filter with a compressor cause it wasnt to bad.

I have no clue whats causing this, its only when the car is at normal operating temp. and drove like that for a bit.

Id really appreciate some good help here. Thanks

Well I would have no problem doing that, but I dont think the car will make it there.

I really dont wanna try because I had to have it towed home 2 times within a week.

Check engine light is usually on,but goes off sometimes also.

Thanks guys,appreciate the effort.

Buy a scanner. They can be had for $80 or less. You'll thank yourself for having it later down the road!

Also, give us some more detail. Does the car start bucking under acceleration, or does it just die when you're cruising on the highway? On decel? Is your gas tank full? Do any of your instrument lights come on as a warning? Are any on when you're driving?

I'm guessing it has something to do with the fuel pump, or the sock could be clogged/dirty. Get back with some more symtoms, and some OBDII codes if you can!

Years ago mine used to cut out and later restart. Sometimes it would cut out of a fraction of a second on the road. What caused that problem turned out to be the relay that runs the FI and ignition unit. One of the brown ones in the box by the battery.

C.mon, guys!

he has a 95. Chances are AutoZone and the like won't be able to read it anyway since most of them only have OBD-II scanners for 96-03 vehicles.

On a 95, the codes can be read with noithing mre han a paper clip and an operational CEL light.

The instructions are probably on the main site, but are also available at www.fordfuelinjection.com

The codes would provide information about anything the computer has self-detected. Without them, it is pretty much impossible to do anything other than guess about the cause of this car's troubles.

Ok I got some codes.NO paper clip needed. It says to run a wire from the negative post to the self test input.

Is there suppose to be 2 digit codes or 3 digit codes for my car? It seemed like 2 digit codes to me.

Ok here are the KOEO codes you guys asked for...12,35,39,22,65,58.Someone please explain what these mean, and whats wrong.

Thanks.

2 digit codes.
http://www.thorssell.net/hbook/2digit.html

12 Idle Speed Control motor or Air Bypass not controlling idle properly (generally idle too low)

Check/clean/change IAC valve.

22 MAP (vacuum) or BARO signal out of range

Check/clean/change MAF sensor

35
EVR - (O, R, M) EVP sensor signal is/was high
PFE - (O, R, M) PFE sensor signal is/was high

Change DPFE sensor.

39 Transmission Torque Converter clutch not engaging

This sounds bad but if it were my car, I would try changing the ATFluid first.

58 Idle Tracking Switch (ITS) signal problem
Vane Air Temperature (VAT) sensor out of range or open

Check/clean Intake air temperature sensor
