Now we've all had tar on our cars now and then. Any use peanut butter to remove it? Guess it works pretty darn good from a brief Google search. Better than the removal products you buy at the store. Works on wax that has touched rubber too. Guess the peanut oil does wonders. Maybe I'll try Nutella as a light polishing compound.

I don't know about tar but I've definitely heard of using it to remove wax.

I've been using it for 10+ years now.

I just did a major tar job, too. Didn't think to try peanut butter.

That I did know. Why you'd need to know that I don't know.

You could try some WD40 and let it sit for a while

WD40 or peanut butter wouldn't have done much on this recent detailing job I did. It was just too thick and too dry.

Heavy tar all over the sideskirts and doors. Light tar on the windows, roof and trunk. It was a tough job.
