Several people have expressed a desire to have a meeting in California. I was wondering if anyone was up for planning a Southern California gathering? This wouldn't be a "national meet" or anything like that, just a get together for whoever can come. Perhaps a SHOShop dyno tune day, lunch, a cruise, drag strip time, maybe some time in a large parking lot to check out each others cars? I am dying to find other 'Tour nuts here in SoCali. hellz yea a cali meeting would be tight!!!! i know three or 4 guys up here that would love to go. i figure there would be quite a few contuors there, actually alot!!! id love to check other guys contour out, how bout at SHOshop or sumwhere round there???? lets do it!!!!!!!

Damn, sounds like people are all over the place. I think the SHOShop would be a good place to meet, it's somewhere everyone could find and perhaps we could get a group discount on parts or something for that day. How about meeting at SHOShop and then heading out for lunch somewhere? Well, anyone else have suggestions? How about this...I am going to the SHOShop tommorrow morning for subframe connectors and motor mount inserts. While I am there, I will ask about the possibility of us meeting up at their shop, perhaps discounts, dyno sessions, etc. After I see what they say, I will report back here and we can get some concrete plans together. I live in NorCal but would consider taking the trip if it were worthwhile. Don't need a track meet, just something fun and informative would be fine. Love to check our other cars and take some pictures for ideas. The SHO Shop sounds good. Just need some notice in advance, Mid-September yes, too much travel activity in August.

well lets get a date set!!!! SHOshop sounds great place to meet, and i will get a couple of my other freinds with contours to go, they have really clean contours show cars. set up a date and u can count on about 4 or 5 of us.

well, we've been meeting for over two years now...Bito and I went to the very first meeting at the now extinct Speedway Cafe in Newport Beach. We've also met up at the last two Fab. Fords Forever shows, as well as a meeting as CEG at SHOshop and another with SHOcal. People have also been going to track events, with about 3-4 Contour's showing up. Derrick Malcolm talked with John Linen at South County Autosports about having a Dyno day at Dynamic Autosports on the 29th of this month.....would this be an okay event, or would a later date be better? Or does everyone want to go to SHOshop?

I think either shoshop or south county would be a good spot to hold an event, and get the cougar guys involved too, that would be tight.

I think a meeting in Mid Sepetember would be sweet. I am a member of NECO, I know a few of us would show up. ShoShop or South County autosports are good shops to meet at, too bad we didn't do this sooner, We could have gone to the LA County street races, they were a blast, and so was the Summer Sanatarium afterwards

jjennings, Glad you liked the Metallica show, I was there. I probably sold you a t-shirt I talked to Vadim at the SHOShop, and he has no problem with us using his place to meet up, and discounted dyno time is a possibility as well. Problem is, Vadim doesn't have software for our Contours, so he can't tune our cars. Numbers only, unfortunately. He told me he's been waiting on the software for 2 years now, some Ford engineer is designing it. That concert was the baddest azz concert I have ever been too. Didn't buy a t-shirt, wish I would have. If we could get everybody interested to email one person with their email address, and location, and which places they prefer, then I think we could get something started. How does mid-September sound? I'll try to organize the event, if ya'll want. My email is jjennings@rcrcompanies.com. Lets try to get at least 20 people there. I'm sure I can get at least 6 NECO members there.
