So obviously I searched and I found out that the MSDS y pipe is crap, from what people say. Right now I have gutted precats. I am looking to get an MSDS y pipe as well. Would I notice any gains by having gutted precats with the MSDS y pipe?

So which sounds better. Buying the direct swap MSDS y pipe for around $100 shipped or optimizing my y pipe?

MSDS has revised there y pipe and from what i have seen and been told it does not have the sharp v looking bend in it anymore.

A optimized stock y pipe will flow almost if not the same as an MSDS y pipe. You will not feel a difference between a optimized and MSDS. You might feel a slight difference from the stock y pipe.

So what you're saying is sort of good for me. So around $100 shipped sounds like a good deal?

Pretty much what I am trying to say is.... is this mod worth $100 bucks?

Speculation or flow tested?

Is this the MSDS new design or the old design? So this will flow better than an optimized stock pipe or no??

I've never heard anyone say anything bad about an opt'd y pipe compared to an MSDS/ Weapon R ypipe. I myself have mine opt'd along with the headers.

I'm familiar with that thread - But it is a comparison of a modified MSDS y-pipe and stock y-pipe.

No figures for an optimized y-pipe.
No figures for the "new design" MSDS y-pipe.

The stock y-pipe is very restrictive, one can only speculate on what an optimized stock y-pipe would do.
The modified MSDS y-pipe was modified optimally. Who know what the redesigned MSDS does.

You cannot say one is better than the other without without actual testing. I'd be interested to see that info.
