I absolutely hate when people clip there nails in public or at work, etc. Are you that busy you can't do it at home where you do everything else in the bathroom?

yes, but sometimes those buggers flick over the cubicle wall (when clipping) and land in your coffee and you don't find out till you finish the cup.

Exactly, why not just go into the bathroom for a couple of minutes and do it in there? There are only dudes in my cube farm (well, small cube garden) so I don't have that problem.

Yes. Sort of.
I have never seen a guy bust out his nail clipper and go to town at work. I have seen someone tear off a nail, but that was with a 1" endmill and he didn't really mean to do it anyway, so I don't think that counts.

there are a couple of guys in my cube farm that clip their nails now and then.
it doesn't bother me, but i find it funny that they do it while on company time.
and you know they are doing it because the clippers have that distinctive sound.

I cut mine here at work yesterday. My desk is out in the open but away from others. No one could see me. I have a clipper with the cutting catcher and do it over the trash.
I just don't feel like I have 5 minutes sometimes at home. I'm doing dishes, reading to the kiddies, playing with the kiddies, putting the kiddies to bed, finishing our kitchen. Last night it was midnight before I even knew it. I'm not sure where the time between 8 and 12 went.
I personally think the filing thing is worse than the clipping, since it is much harder to clean up. I also agree, fingernails ONLY!
