so, I've had these audiobahn 12" subwoofers since I was in high school. I'm now a senior in college and have learned a lot of things, I even learned that audiobahn sucks.
Where I need help:
I need a 10" or 12" subwoofer with with good sound quality to go along with my current amp, MTX Thunder 342, I believe its around 300 watts RMS at 4ohms. I also can't spend more than $100 so it has to be under $100.
I'm tired of the loud gangsta thumps my current system puts out, I'm just looking for sound quality now. I don't listen to much hip-hop or rap, mostly rock like Green Day and Jimmy Eat World

you should go on ebay and look up some diamond audio subwoofers, they don't hit real hard but are very clean sounding.

Infinity 1230W reference series. I have two of these, I am in Canada, first year college therefore poor, and I purchased mine for 40 dollars each, total 80 dollars, and I turn heads, piss of neighbours, and rattle my windows everywhere. The power handling for this subwoofer is 300 watts rms, so it would work well with your amp. I am powering my 2 infinity's with an alpine mrd-m500 with 500 watts rms power, and despite perhaps being underpowered, the subs hit accurately and all notes. I dont know if you can go wrong with this sub, its mad cheap and rather impressive for sound quality.

If you hurry Elemental Designs is having a great group buy currently that ends on 6/13. All you have to do is sign up as a member of their forum to receive the discount. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a better speaker in your price range. A 13Kv.2 for $75+ shipping looks like your best bet (its a 12" sub, their naming system is kinda silly). http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?t=26191

probably not the 'cleanest sounding' but it's less than a 100$ and pretty decent. So I've heard, (never heard one though, been thinking of gettin a set as soon as I hear them)

I don't think you could go wrong with Ascendent Audio or eD, I've owned both brands and had good experiences.
